Community Leaders! Get in here.

I've been working as some form of a community leader for over seven years now and I absolutely love it. Beyond connecting with people from around the world, I also have a chance to connect people with one another and grow a community that continues to grow and evolve.

With COVID-19 still a thing, the need for community is more apparent now than ever and my position and the work that community leaders do is in demand and also under a microscope. Community spaces are extensions of real-life spaces and as such, need to have many of the same basics in place. Things like diversity, a sense of belonging, and nice people as members may seem like a no-brainer but are not always a part of each community.

This is where your girl comes in. Hey ;)

A few weeks ago, I led a masterclass with an organization called CMX (they are the community experts and I highly recommend checking them out if you're interested in community management) on how to diversify community groups. I had a lot of fun and hopefully, after viewing it - you'll find it worthwhile and maybe a little entertaining, I like to think I'm witty.
