Covid-19 has changed so much.
It's amazing and terrifying to think about how Covid has forced so many aspects of our lives to change and IMO, being pregnant and/or delivering during this madness only intensifies those changes. Idk about you but this totally made me worry that I was leaving something out or needed to pack extra things to prep for baby's birthday. With so many other concerns and things on my mind, I quickly realized- ain't nobody got time for this extra stress!
So, as I was preparing to pack our bags (me, lé hubby, and Baby J's), I kept searching online for a checklist that worked for all of us, on one sheet of paper, that left room for me to fill in my own items... and I kept coming up empty handed - so I created my very own! 👏🏾 👏🏾
My maternity hospital bag checklist is color-coded pink, blue, or yellow in case you're a total weirdo like me that likes to color code every.little.thing. You can totally decide if you'd like to have blue for a baby boy, pink for a girl, or yellow if you aren't finding out the sex of your baby. Or completely mix it up however you'd like because color designation for the sex of your baby isn't your style. #choices
I was purposeful in leaving just a few lines for each person you may be packing for because you don't need to bring a ton of stuff! Hospitals are legally required to provide you with the basics so don't pack up an entire bag of diapers or onesies! Just let them provide a few of the basic things for you. TRUST ME on this one. It will just be one less thing for you to worry about. The very first page (pictured above) is the exact list that I used but the other pages are empty for you to customize to your needs. There's also a list for a scheduled c-section vs. a vaginal delivery because your needs may be unique.
Save yourself the energy of searching for the perfect packing list and download this one! Tag me at @taaraj with your packing pics and go have that baby, mama! 🤰🏾
